    Gavin Newsom: "I have a lot of friends."

    SF mayor Gavin Newsom, explaining his friendship with Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin:

    "I have a lot of friends, and I haven't talked to them (Page and Brin) in probably two months."

    Terry Semel, Yahoo's chief executive, and Larry Ellison, Oracle Corp.'s chief executive, are among the other Bay Area business leaders the mayor said he socializes with.
