The Rocketboom scrap isn't the only catfight escalating this week. EBay, feeling its Paypal business can't handle the competition, just banned sellers from requesting payments through Google Checkout. EBay swears it's not doing this out of fear and cites its "Safe Payments" policy: a payment service needs a "substantial historical track record of providing safe and reliable financial and/or banking related services."

A Google spokesperson says, that multi-billion-dollar Adwords business might count as a track record. Just sayin'.
