The news is all over the Internets about Mark Pincus taking over Tribe. The social site's co-founder hasn't yet updated his bio (it still reads "former CEO"), but he announced his takeover on Tribe.

I heard about it from heavy Tribe user Eran Globen, who noted it here. From there, the story got picked up on TechCrunch, with the usual namby-pamby caveats.

Despite what TechCrunch says, the rumor's true (as confirmed by more than one Tribe employee), Pincus wrote the post, and Tribe is back in business — or the captain's climbed back behind the wheel to go down with the ship.
