Lloyd Braun, the entertainment industry executive who took much of the heat for Yahoo's misconceived Hollywood adventure, is out. Valleywag's been hounding him all year. The web criticism may, paradoxically, have encouraged Terry Semel, Yahoo's CEO, to keep Braun in place, just to save face. Yahoo's dalliance with the entertainment industry was Semel's pet strategy.
