    Flickr founder skips company party

Missing on Saturday night, at the third birthday party for Flickr at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco: Stewart Butterfield, the founder of the photo service. Butterfield, now an exec at Yahoo, blamed nightmarish traffic and parking, and colleagues were overheard attributing his absence to jetlag, after recent Asian foray. But not so jetlagged that he would miss the social event of the season, a fundraising gala for the X Prize at Google's Mountain View headquarters. Captured here, Butterfield and his wife, Caterina Fake, in a photo Esther Dyson posted to the web. Damn that Flickr. Can't even skip the company party, these days, without being caught.
