

Did you, like Terry Semel of Yahoo, miss your chance to buy into Facebook? It may not be too late. The college social network — which was seeded by Peter Thiel, and drew venture capital from Accel Partners and Greylock — is profitable enough not to need another injection. But word is that founder Mark Zuckerberg is allowing in a few key Valley names. Among the investors who've eased their way in to Valley's hottest private company, several of the partners of Elevation Partners, the tech buyout firm. We assume Roger McNamee's on the list; and would like to think that Bono, the U2 frontman and Elevation partner, also made it in.
