    Zuckerberg's world

Welcome to Facebook. A perfect world of total pleasure. With just one catch. The only thing you can't have is your 30th birthday. Mark Zuckerberg's college social network, like the utopia of Logan's Run, is full of young and shiny people. And, as in the science fiction world of the cult 1976 movie whose catchlines we've borrowed, there are suspiciously few people over the age of 30.

I want to stress the importance of being young and technical. Young people are just smarter. Why are most chess masters under 30? I don't know. Young people just have simpler lives. We may not own a car. We may not have family. I only own a mattress. Simplicity in life allows you to focus on what's important. [Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's 22-year-old founder, was talking at Startup School, an event for would-be entrepreneurs. Venturebeat noted his comments.]
