Techcrunch says it has confirmed
the price tag Valleywag reported, last week, for Feedburner. The Chicago-based venture, which provides services to web publishers such as email alerts and text ads embedded in news feeds, will go to Google for about $100m. Winners: Dick Costolo, Feedburner's deserving founder; Union Square Ventures, which backed Delicious, now owned by Yahoo; and Mobius, which could do with a score as the venture firm winds down.
