Since I took the helm of Valleywag last July, I've been cajoling former Valleywag editor Nick Douglas to contribute more to the site. Not so successful, that; he's been lured away by none other than Valleywag publisher Nick Denton to write about the Internet for Gawker. (Thanks, boss.) Before that, his excuse was that he was working on a really great online-video project. "I'll believe that when I see it," I thought to myself. And now I have, and now I do. Behold Goggleburn. In his first episode, Douglas explores the logic of spending years taking daily photographs of yourself to produce 30 seconds of video.
