LinuxWorld and Next Generation Data Center conferences are taking over Moscone this week. Kick-off the open source lovefest today with one of two free events. Moblin.org presents a community day on creating Internet and rich media experience on Mobile Internet Devices, Netbooks and more. Registration gets you into the 3 days of the exhibition hall as well as keynote speakers and feature presentations. Over at the Mission Bay Conference Center, the Splunk Developers Bootcamp gives you one-on-one time with Splunk engineers and a sneak peak at Splunk 4.0 before you get into the meat of Linux World tomorrow. If open source is your means to world liberation, don't forget to participate in the massive installfest sponsored by Untagle, GES, and the Alameda County Computer Resource Center. Conference attendees are being asked to volunteer a bit of their time installing Ubunutu for schools in need. The chance to hack older hardware for a good cause is all but guaranteed!
