    While the numbers have surely changed fairly significantly since 2006, this illustration of each state's share of the venture capital from the latest issue of Nature is telling. California is, of course, huge. The coasts are receiving the most, with the flyover states pinched for investment — though Colorado does surprisingly well when indexed in relation to relative GDP share. New York, however, is difficult to find on either graph, outpaced by Massachussetts on both counts. [Infectious Greed]
