Facebook Chooses Worst Possible Metaphor

Unless the company recently acqui-hired an ironic sense of humor, Facebook might want to give its graphic design interns a brief lesson on history. Or hubris. Or both!

I appreciate the message, but comparing your large and prosperous company to another entity that was once large and prosperous and now only remembered in history books and preserved rubble seems... off. Students of the year 4195 will probably enjoy reading The History of the Decline and Fall of the Social Network, though.
