Google Is Taking Its Investment In Immortality Nice and Slow

Google is inching along in its plan to "solve" that pesky mortality equation. Calico, the corporation's "life extension center," just revealed a partnership with the pharmaceutical company AbbVie to develop and sell "new drugs targeting diseases associated with old age," reports the Verge.

The total investment in the partnership may reach as high as $1.5 billion:

AbbVie and Calico will each initially provide up to $250 million to fund the collaboration with the potential for both sides to contribute an additional $500 million.

That's a good strategy. You really wanna be cautious here. It's not like life or death is up there with hailing cars.
