Path Got Hacked and No One Cared

How do you know your startup is bombing? It's so unpopular, even when users are getting unsolicited messages from robots saying "Make me cum now," there are so few of those users, it's like it didn't even happen.

I saw a single person complaining about Path spam this morning. One. I follow a lot of effete, self-gazing software types on Twitter, and only one person tweeted. Not even a complaint—just a shrug. Ah well. Sucks, I guess. At least I don't really use Path.

Now the company is addressing the non-issue that no one really dealt with:

"A small number of users," indeed. This is the PR equivalent of apologizing to an empty room for coughing. Path should be so lucky as to have a scandal.
