"I'm fairly certain that Simon Jeffrey intention with the THQ comparison is Sega wants to be a company of the same size and market share value as THQ--not that it's looking to have the same hardcore gamer street cred that THQ's brand currently enjoys. Besides, for all the disdain thrown on THQ's licensed games (and Ubisoft's girl games for that matter), games like Iron Man are what pays Sega's bills to fund projects like MadWorld and Bayonetta. Jeffrey wants to make Sega "cool" again, but is also content with a moderately sized company that's still capable of taking gambles."
