I am interested always in the proposition that nothing can be lest it first appear in Dilbert. Like, the pointy-headed boss orders: "Run me a hard copy of the internets; I'm gonna do some serious browsing tonight."#rupertmurdoch
This is perhaps the saddest day ever. First we learn that Sex Goddess Andrea Peyser is only being read by a mere 500,000 people, and now we are being threatened with the possibility that Sex Goddess Andrea Peyser might not appear on Google searches. Oh the humanity! #rupertmurdoch
a post about how twitter was not as relevant in iran as was hyped by the US media was promising until out of nowhere you go into the guy with the dust mask you talked to which has little do do with the topic.
dude, you should have just tweeted that part. #iran
Though the charges have since been dropped, but if an American can be arrested for twittering a "revolution", then our government can't really condemn others for cracking down on those in the field.
@Pope John Peeps II: Agreed, but when I first heard of the Madison fellow's arrest, I immediately thought of the shot to our credibility, if we were to condemn other governments for making similar arrests.
It's sort of like when the Bush-era waterboarding story was confirmed. It wasn't even days until comparisons were made to WWII-era convictions for war crimes.
Sure, the charges against Mr. Madison have been dropped, but if we want to be able to encourage social networking as a means to organize, then we can't be arresting people for doing the same thing. #iran
yikes...i feel bad for them, but this kind of stuff does happen on the internet too easily so the caveat lies there. but really, i feel horrible for her kids. how embarrassing and much worse for them to have to deal with. #thewaywelivenow
jane aldridge: teenage fashion blogger turned vogue it-girl, turned urban outfitters designer and chanel-invitee to the crillon ball. even kanye west said he wanted to work with her. [seaofshoes.com]#wehateyourkids
It's great to be anonymous, isn't it? That's how real men take on a woman in an online discussion. You should be proud of yourselves!
I challenge you to come out of anonymity and to reveal who you are and what exactly makes you an arbiter of artistic taste. Drue has a list of achievements that few artists her age can match, and people from Grammy winner Wynton Marsalis to the late 49ers coach Bill Walsh respect her talent [www.drue.net] . Drue has raised thousands through her art for many causes. What have you done?
BTW, if any of you ever strikes it rich in the Valley-- highly unlikely, if you spend your work hours reading/commenting on ValleyWag-- don't invest your money in art. It really is not your forte & you'll go bankrupt.
@Snugbug: Thanks Snugbug. While I strongly disagree with your assessment of Drue's art, you have balls.
@"Michael Arrington": You are NOT Michael Arrington. Just received a response from the real Michael Arrington confirming you are an impersonator. It is outrageous that ValleyWag has allowed your fake comments to go on for so long: I can see comments from you dating from March 08, including "masterpieces" like:
"What the hell, I expected a better picture with this post" (with regard to a child porn post)
"I play the role of an 1800s steamboat captain in my illicit sex videos" (on a post about a Nazi-inspired sex video), etc.
