Google co-founder Page and model-PhD wife Lucy Southworth's new startup would appear to be going public right on schedule. It was seven months ago that word of Southworth's pregnancy leaked in a Silicon Valley newspaper. Now the infant has apparently arrived, following in the golden-bootied footsteps of Benji Brin, billionaire baby boy of Page's co-founder Sergey Brin and wife Anne Wojcicki. Page's child has already done well for himself, entering the world more wealthy than when he was conceived: Page's wealth shot up by $3 billion to $15 billion from March to September on rising Google shares, according to Forbes (here, here). Shares have only gone up more since then.

There's no word yet on whether the new child was preceded by a weird baby shower of the sort Page threw for Brin, involving adults in diapers. In fact, we don't even have a name or sex at this point. Send us more information if you've heard anything. Google.com hasn't been any help on this one. Go figure.

UPDATE: It's a boy! So we're told.

<![CDATA[Google Founder Larry Page Has Impregnated Model-Ph.D. Wife]]> Larry Page, the dorkier half of Google's founding duo, has mastered at least one basic human function: His wife, former model and Stanford bioinformatics Ph.D. Lucy Southworth, is pregnant.

Took him long enough. The pair married in December 2007, with Page (net worth $18.6 billion) planting a kiss on his bride on Richard Branson's exclusive Necker Island. Co-founder Sergey Brin and his wife, Anne Wojcicki, have already popped out a billionaire baby boy. We wonder: Will the Pages go with a squad of Stanford-trained nannies, or take their child to Google's gold-plated childcare?

<![CDATA[The 15 hottest CEO wives]]> Lucy Southworth made the cut at AOL's Asylum blog, even though hubby Larry Page isn't the CEO of his company. If you don't want to click through Asylum's pop-up interactive preso, I searched our photo databases to find real-world shots — not Photoshopped promo pictures — of Asylum's two other Valley-related picks. Both have a certain something once considered unsightly on a trophy wife: careers.

<![CDATA[Larry and Sergey brought wives to watch Google satellite launch]]> Google helped pay for this weekend's launch of a satellite which will take high-resolution imagery for its Google Earth service, and founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were on hand to watch the rocket lift off at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Serious business, right? Not when you see our spy photos of the billionaires. Brin wore bright orange Crocs and Page wore a red windbreaker. More tellingly, Brin brought Anne Wojcicki, his pregnant wife, and Page brought his wife Lucy. Both women also dressed informally. Wojcicki carried a plastic water bottle — funny, I thought Larry and Sergey had gotten rid of those at the Googleplex. It all looked like a lark for the billionaire couples, rather than a visit to a high-security military installation — paid for by Google's shareholders and U.S. taxpayers. At least Larry and Sergey seem to have flown their on their own dime — the photos show a Gulfstream V, one of the models in the Googlers' fleet of party planes. Admit it, you all wish you were Larry and Sergey, Crocs and all.

The photos:

<![CDATA[Google's other party plane revealed]]> How did invited guests from the Bay Area for the Newsom-Siebel wedding make it to tiny Stevensville, Montana on a budget and at the last minute? On a private jet from Google, of course. But not the Boeing 767 with the king-sized bed that you've all come to know and love — it was a slightly smaller 757 that revellers boarded at Moffett field. Besides the regular seats, there were reclining thrones and couches mounted along the side of the plane. Larry Page deigned to join the hoi polloi with his paramour Lucy Southworth on the flight back to California. "So warm, lovely and friendly," said our source of the sweet pair with their Hollywood dentistry. (Photo by Cubbie_n_Vegas)

<![CDATA[Sister outs Mrs. Larry Page as ex-model]]> Lucy Page, the bioinformatics-expert wife of the Google cofounder, would seem to fit the Forbes template for billionaires' wives: "Looks are great — but brains are even better." Unlike husband Larry — shown here kissing his bride at their Necker Island wedding — the former Lucy Southworth actually completed her Ph.D. at Stanford. But a revelation from sister Carrie Southworth, an actress, may mar Lucy's Valley-brainy reputation.

Lucy, a willowy blonde, used to work as a model. "The summer after my freshman year, I was home from school and my sister's car broke down, so I drove her to the Elite modeling agency," Carrie, a television actress, told Soapnet. How did the New York Post miss this? At any rate, a modeling career combined with a Ph.D. makes two things Lucy has accomplished that Larry, even with his newly trendy hair, never will.

<![CDATA[Google Billionaire's Wife Sat On Jezebel Editor's Couch And Jezebel Editor Was Too Drunk To Notice]]> No doubt this post will inspire grief because it breaks an unspoken rule: speak no ill of a former Jezebel writer. But it is a good yarn — well, more to the point, it is NOT — and it speaks to one of the reasons Jezebel will improve so greatly under the corporate embrace of Conde Nast. Read on, and pity the fool. A photo recently surfaced of Lucy Southworth in college. You should know who Lucy Southworth is, but lest you don't: she is married to Google co-founder Larry Page, who is a billionaire many times over who is not headed to jail. A closer inspection on the part of Jezebel editor Maureen Tkacik revealed that the photo depicted the radiant Ms. Southworth sitting in Ms. Tkacik's house with three of Ms. Tkacik's closest college friends, one of whom she had actually reportedly given a blow job on one occasion. Today, Ms. Southworth is engaged to one of the most powerful men on earth.

Another of the friends in the picture is a high-powered producer for a top television network who owns a Brooklyn condominium, another is in law school, and the last is independently wealthy. And where is Maureen Tkacik? Why, living in a tiny fifth floor rental apartment with the selfsame roommate — and, we hear, the selfsame Judas Priest photo —with whom she lived in the picture, which was taken ten years ago; a cautionary tale in downward mobility if there ever was one. She doesn't so much as recall meeting the future billionaire, and why would she? Her most salient memory from the house in which Ms. Southworth was photographed is being rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning.

n2610146_32776033_8697.jpg

Ms. Southworth is not alone; Ms. Tkacik crossed paths in school with numerous other individuals who proceeded to achieve things in life: Donald Trump Jr., one half of the screenwriting/production duo behind the Harold & Kumar films, New York Observer reporter Doree Shafrir. In fact, her entire life might be considered a case study in how not to climb the social ladder, and, the photo below, wherein she sits next to Kretchmar and her present roommate, goes much of the way to revealing why: that ensemble.

<![CDATA[Mark Zuckerberg reveals Larry Page's wife in another man's embrace]]> Before Lucy Southworth met Larry, there was another man in the future Ms. Page's life: Tom Kretchmar. From a photo album on Facebook, leaked thanks to the site's privacy holes, we can see Southworth and Kretchmar were close. In one photo, she's sitting on his lap. Old college flame, or just a friendly school chum? Never mind: Southworth is too radiantly adorkable for me to pay much attention to Kretchmar.

<![CDATA[Introducing Mrs. Lucy Page]]> Anne Wojcicki, the wife of Google cofounder Sergey Brin and CEO of the Google-funded biotech startup 23andMe, is a modern sort, keeping her name after marriage. Not so, apparently, for the former Lucy Southworth, who recently married Brin's cofounder, Larry Page. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, her nametag read "Lucy Page." One thing's for sure: This will make her more difficult to Google.

<![CDATA[Larry and Lucy honeymoon in Argentina, sort of]]> If you're worth $20 billion, I guess you can't just go on a vacation. Even if you just got married. Larry Page and new bride Lucy Southworth headed down to Argentina after their Necker Island wedding last weekend — and Larry promptly met with Argentina's recently elected president Cristina Kirchner. Kirchner bragged about her country's software industry and Larry thumped his chest about alternative energy. Muy romantico. At least Larry continued to rock the urban mullet. Now go on your frigging honeymoon, okay? (Photo by Infobae.com)

<![CDATA[Gavin Newsom makes Larry and Lucy's short list]]> We hear that Larry Page's wedding to Lucy Southworth on Necker Island Sunday was a smaller affair than widely reported — only 170 people, not 600. Confirmed in attendance: Richard Branson, who officiated, and Bono, who read a poem he wrote for the couple and performed a song. Oh, and also San Francisco's hunky god-mayor, Gavin Newsom, shown here with Page and Google cofounder Brin. How do we know Newsom was there?

Well, a good source tells us so. But hard evidence backs up our tipster. Newsom's public schedule notes the normally mayor had no public events. San Francisco supervisor Sean Elsbernd filled in as acting mayor. And I got a somewhat exasperated spokeswoman in his office to confess, finally, that Newsom was out of the country over the weekend.

Last year, Newsom claimed that he isn't particularly close to Page or Brin. And here he is going to Page's wedding. A politician lying? Shocking.

<![CDATA[Olga chases Larry and Lucy's guests off the islands]]> Larry and Lucy face a stormNo wind, no rain could stop Larry Page and Lucy Southworth's wedding on Necker Island this weekend. During the ceremony itself, Valleywag's exclusive photo showed clear skies, if rough seas. Virgin Gorda, the large island where the Google founder and his Stanford-Ph.D. bride held a reception afterwards at Little Dix Bay, hosted a large fleet of private jets over the weekend — all gone by now, according to our operatives.

That means Page's celebrity pals, reportedly including Bono, Johnny Depp, and Leonardo DiCaprio, must have gotten off the island in time. The Sydney Morning Herald confirms our reports. A receptionist at the Little Dix Bay resort told the Australian paper that all its guests were fine. Good thing they made a getaway: The foul weather we reported, dismissed by some, has turned into Subtropical Storm Olga.

<![CDATA[The kiss]]> From a helpful tipster, the first-ever photo from the wedding ceremony of Larry Page and Lucy Southworth. The groom wore a white buttondown shirt, untucked; the bride, a cream strapless number, with her hair loose. Pics or it didn't happen, eh? After the jump, visual confirmation that Sir Richard Branson was the Google cofounder's best man.

<![CDATA[Gale-force winds bear down on Googler's wedding]]> In the neutral parlance of stormtrackers, the pattern of rain and winds now hitting the British Virgin Islands is just a "tropical disturbance." But I have to think Google cofounder Larry Page, who married Lucy Southworth yesterday on Richard Branson's Necker Island, is more than disturbed by it. Gale-force winds and heavy rains will make it difficult if not impossible to shuttle from island to island, and conditions may be unsafe for helicopters and small private jets to take off. Hundreds of celebrity guests and top Google executives may well be stranded.

The Page-Southworth wedding was scheduled after the traditional end of Caribbean hurricane season, but the increasingly warm seas which spawn storms did not respect that timing. Page has never met a process he doesn't believe he can improve. In Mother Nature, he may have just met his match. Caribbean weather is unpredictable. For a group of people who compulsively plan everything, the Googlers must be losing it.

<![CDATA[That was the weekend that wasn't]]> I should have taken my colleague Paul Boutin's recap of the week as a warning. Normally I take the weekend off, and I shouldn't have made an exception. But that Lucy Southworth is just so geekily adorable in this Stanford-office photo I felt obligated to cover her wedding. If it happened.

Late this night, I got a confirmation that some people I knew had, indeed, traveled to Necker Island for Google cofounder Larry Page's hitching to the Stanford Ph.D. Okay, the wedding didn't happen Saturday — yet another error in Wikipedia. This much is for sure: The Clintons didn't show. As far as I know, the wedding took place today, assuming the celebrity guests weren't blown down by a gathering storm. I asked Google PR to verify that the company still has a president of products. No answer yet. Which is a problem, since losing Larry is a risk factor the company mentions in its annual report.

The other big nonstory of the weekend? Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's sale of exactly $0 million worth of stock. What was I, drunk? Yes. I was roundly and deservedly abused for airing the false rumor. This is what I get for working overtime? That's it, folks: From now on, I'm taking the "end" in "weekend" seriously.

<![CDATA[Stormy start to Larry and Lucy's marriage]]> So how are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Page faring? The coconut telegraph linking Valleywag's Virgin Islands correspondents with headquarters in San Francisco is down. Our sources who promised us an inside look at Larry Page's wedding to Lucy Southworth, believed to be taking place right now on Richard Branson's Necker Island, have been silent since this morning. And now I think I know why: What may be a tropical storm system is forming northeast of the archipelago. After the jump, a shot taken today by a Valleywag informant showing the extremely windy conditions there.

Storm on the Virgin Islands

Rough weather has so far served to hinder paparazzi on boats, but that lucky stroke may now be turning against Larry and Lucy. Since the festivities are going late into the evening tonight, the couple and their 600 celebrity guests — rumored to include Bono, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, and as many as three U.S. presidents — may find themselves stuck on Necker, Gilligan's Island-style. Good thing Page required that their passports be up to date and valid well past the weekend.

<![CDATA[Larry and Lucy didn't get married Saturday]]> Yesterday was a beautiful day in the British Virgin Islands, as you can see from this sunset snap submitted to us. And strangely quiet. That's because, we hear from a source working the festivities, Larry Page and Lucy Southworth didn't get married.

Before you panic, know that there were no cold-footed billionaires, no runaway brides. It's just that the celebrity wedding, widely believed to have taken place yesterday, is actually taking place this afternoon. Hope that tent is solid, as the weather forecast calls for thunderstorms. More as we hear it.

<![CDATA[I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Larry Page]]> If rumors are correct, Larry Page and Lucy Southworth should be married by now. One hopes that they're back to a suite on Richard Branson's Necker Island resort, recapping their mile-high makeout session from last year. Update: Or not! The latest rumor from the coconut telegraph: The wedding is Sunday, not Saturday. One hopes the future Pages are practicing for tomorrow, at any rate.

<![CDATA["Webgemeinde baffles" at Googler wedding]]> Back when we had party correspondent Megan McCarthy to kick around, I made a point of assigning her all interviews with the German press. But now Leggy's headed to Wired, so when Der Spiegel called to interview me about Larry and Lucy's wedding, I had to handle it myself. And I think I acquitted myself pretty well. I think. The Google translation was a little unclear. "Webgemeinde baffles," indeed. Larry, when you get back, could you get someone working on this?
