Gurbaksh Chahal, the guy who sold ad network Blue Lithium to Yahoo for $300 million and will pretend to be poor on Fox's The Secret Millionaire this fall, has written — more likely, paid somebody to write — a book which you can preorder on Amazon.com right now. This very minute. We're very much interested in a review copy, but a skeptical reporter friend of mine tells me he isn't. How come?

His PR person was pushing me months ago to interview him about the book and his TV show. I guess he's blowing some of his Yahoo loot on vanity projects. The book industry is just as fucked as media. They publish shit like this on the condition the author agrees to buy 10k or 15k copies.

Leaked video of the first Android phone

The first mobile device to hit the market running Google's mobile operating system, Android, will be the HTC Dream and TmoNews.com claims its landed a leaked video of the device in action. We've embedded it below. The Android Guys blog says the device in the video reminds them of the device Google used to demonstrate Android to the BBC back in February. We've embedded that video below as well. Viewing both clips, its obvious both the device and its operating system are pretty slick, but will the companies be able to create an ad campaign that makes us feel like we are both among, apart from, and above the crowd: a new soul in this strange world, come to learn a bit about how to give and take? If yes, then maybe we're interested.
