Amanda Congdon, in a surreal defense of her much-criticized deal with Dupont, makes no apology for representing the giant chemical company in infomercials, while working for ABC News. "My big regret about Dupont?" the tight-sweatered online video celebrity asks, rhetorically. "I failed to ask for the expensive teleprompter," she blithely answers. Congdon still thinks she can get away with anything with a joke, however lame, a flash of her sweater puppies, and liberal use of the video blogger's free pass: she has personality, so those boring journalistic standards don't apply. "The whole idea of the 'professional you' is more and more a thing of the past, anyway," Congdon says. Yes, amateurism can indeed be appealing; sometimes though, as in this case, it's merely unprofessional, in the worst sense of the word. After the jump, Congdon's complete, bizarre performance.
