"These Yahoo stories [about discontent at the Sunnyvale internet company] are getting out of hand and are completely misguided. Every company in the Valley from HP to a 10-person startup has "unhappy" employees, bummed about creative stifling, lower than expected pay, people coming and going, etc. I think a lot of these workers have unrealistic expectations, and too many outlets to vent. Valley workers are notorious for being unhappy wherever they are — and that's what drives so many start-ups and innovations. I think the most telling point is that, with so many supposedly "cooler" comapanies to work for out there, why are all the whiners spending so much time and energy complaining about it."
