Those mainstream TV stars are shallow, plastic and inane, but they do have one an uncanny ability: they can keep spouting empty nonsense, fluently, for as long as the cameras are running. A technique that Amanda Congdon, the web's first video star, would do well to develop before she makes her move to live TV. Now she's outgrown the web, she hopes to appear on Good Morning America and Nightline, some real TV shows. The announcement came, true to form, on Amanda Congdon's video blog.
