Here's the year ahead on the conference circuit, with a twist. The calendar is overloaded, so
we asked readers which conference, if there was only one to choose from, they would attend. From the poll, TED, predictably, scored highest; next year's event is already sold out. Davos, the most international of the events, and All Things Digital, from the Wall Street Journal, landed in the top five. Two surprising new entrants, which probably reflect Silicon Valley startup frenzy, and the particular interests of
Valleywag readers: Web 2.0 Expo, a spin-off from the O'Reilly event; and Techcrunch 20, a launchpad for new companies being developed by Michael Arrington of the tech news site. Two veterans of the tech events business, Alex Vieux of Red Herring and Tony Perkins of Always On, both scored poorly in the survey. The popularity of each event is indicated by the size of the circle that represents it. After the jump, the full rankings.
