Tom Foremski has some juicy backstory on Yahoo's reorg announcement: Kevin Delaney of the Wall Street Journal had the scoop, and held off on publication in hope of an interview with CEO Terry Semel. When Semel didn't get on the phone, Foremski says, both the Journal and Yahoo raced to get their version of the news out first. Which explains the awkward timing of Yahoo's announcement, last night, when the press release should have gone out before the markets opened this morning.
