Trouble among the virtual mobile operators? We're getting word that Peter Adderton, chief exec and founder, is out at Amp'd Mobile, one of the new breed of cellphone marketing companies that rent network capacity from traditional providers such as Sprint. The annoyingly hip
Amp'd, backed by the MTV network and aimed at 18-35-year-olds, has been eclipsed by other providers such as Helio. No confirmation yet as to Adderton's fate, but his
company bio, describing him as "a true entrepreneur and visionary" was just asking for trouble.
