Lance Bass, James Hong and Lady Deathstrike

It's always entertaining to watch confident Valley machers go weak at the knees in the presence of real celebrities. So I wish I'd been at last weekend's U2 concert, in Hawaii, which attracted famous-for-being-gay Lance Bass, Kid Rock, and other performers; techbiz names like Bill Gates, Kleiner's John Doerr, and uber-publicist Brooke Hammerling; and James Hong, who is in a category of his own. He runs online rating-and-dating site, Hot or Not, and he's a serious entrepreneur; but one wouldn't be surprised to find he had a secret addiction to Us Weekly and the celebrity tabs. Hong would like readers to know that Kelly Hu, who played Lady Deathstrike in one of the X-Men movies, is both super hot and super nice; and thanks, Lance, for lending stuff — tanning lotion? — on the beach.
