The reports, of Ze Frank abandoning the web for a Hollywood career, owe much to the desire of the press and the blogosphere to find another videoblogger destined for mainstream stardom. Even better, one with, rather than photogenic breasts and primadonna attitude, actual on-screen talent. Because there's no story yet: Ze Frank, the German-born comic writer who puts out a cult video news show over the web, tells Valleywag he has no film deal, nor even one on the horizon. However, he does have a Hollywood agent, Sharon Sheinwold of United Talent Agency. She tells the New York Observer: "He's a self-generating comedic force and magnet for talent à la Judd Apatow, Ben Stiller, Mitch Hurwitz, Imagine — albeit in his nascent state of bloggerdom."
