Dan Lyons, former Newsweek writer and real person behind the Fake Steve Jobs phenomenon blog, will help tackle a new generation of still-living tech despots as a writer for HBO's startup comedy series.

This isn't the first time Lyons—who in the spirit of full disclosure I consider a pal, and has been a pal to other Gawker sites in the past—will skewer rich, self-important white men in California. But this might be the biggest audience for Lyons, who took a job with marketing firm HubSpot last year. "For me, it's incredibly huge," he told me. "I'm scared shitless, frankly." We hope he doesn't fuck this up, because a lot of people seem to enjoy the show.
